So it’s been 3 months now since we welcomed our second baby (Brodie Jack) to the family and I feel like I am finally in the swing of things. I’ve had this idea to expand my blog into a boho clothing hire business for quite some time now, but with juggling two babies under two, this was thrown in the ‘too hard’ basket. Until now. Let me introduce to you my THIRD baby, Love Want Need Hire (eeekkkk).
Love it? Want it? Need it? HIRE IT! I have a wardrobe overflowing with beautiful boho pieces which cost a fortune and are almost impossible to buy anymore (because if you know of Spell & The Gypsy Collective, you’ll know that their new drops always sell out in seconds and once it’s gone, it’s gone… unless you’re lucky enough to find it on eBay or the Buy Swap Sell page and snap it up before one of the other million followers does…) So, I thought to myself, why the bloody hell don’t I share my beautiful closet with some other gals? Furthermore, have you ever looked into sustainable fashion? I was curious as to what it was about and when I started researching it, I found it hard to stop or look back. I think I will do another post on this at some stage, but basically the fashion industry needs a healthier more responsible system because the current one is horrible. Did you know only 9% of Fashion Brands pay their workers a living wage? Can you believe that? So many workers in fashion are literally skipping meals because they can’t afford to eat. Another shocking statistic is that 10% of global carbon emissions comes from the fashion industry which is more than shipping and international flights combined. And, just to wrap it up, every year the fashion industry uses 93 billion cubic meters of water which is enough to meet the consumption needs of 5 million people. If those stats aren’t enough to make you want to be a conscious consumer and slow fashion down, I don’t know what will. Anyway, I am not here to blab on. I will save more information on this for another post so anyone interested to learn more, can. If you can’t wait, I found this article to be super interesting (and alarming!).
Hiring clothing is easy. Our prices are as low as $30 and you can choose to hire for just one day during the week or a weekend hire. If you need an outfit for longer, you can arrange a custom hire booking – just ask! You can view our range for hire here or have a look at our Instagram here. You can literally shop from our Instagram – it’s so easy.
So, there you have it. Whether it’s for a family photoshoot, a maternity shoot (omg the kimono’s and dresses I have available are to die for… and compliment your beautiful growing bump perfectly), or even just a Summer outing like a wedding or a few beers down at the pub (last-minute hires are SO welcome – just email or call me and I am so happy to help you out!)… There’s something for everyone. I have some vintage pieces coming soon, several new pieces and lots of everything in-between too. I’ve spent hours working on this website and business idea to get it perfect and I really hope you love the idea as much as I do! Tell ya friends, hire an outfit, post a pic and tag me on insta (if I repost your image you’ll get a 10% discount off your next hire!) – just know however you support Love Want Need Hire, it is massively appreciated and puts a huge smile on my dial (like dis here… I know I’m so freaking random, what of it).
Ya girl, Lisa x
