ABOUT

HELLO & WELCOME!

My name is Lisa and I am a twenty-something-year-old Adelaide based Mummy & Lifestyle Blogger.

I always pictured having kids at a time where I was ready to make being a Mummy my full-time job, and that’s exactly what I intend on doing with our little Taylor Grace & Brodie Jack. I have worked full time since I was 17 years old, went on to study at University for a double degree in Journalism and Public Relations after finishing year 12 (still haven’t finished by the way, lots of ‘deferring’ for holidays and, you know, labouring and raising two babies under two) and always thought I’d get back into the workplace after 12 months of maternity leave. I had no idea the wonderful change these little people were about to make in our lives.

This blog takes you through my journey into motherhood, from pregnancy to labour and everything thereafter. This is a no-judgement, no fiter, no shame zone – something I think all mumma’s need to be able to escape to (even if it is just for a few minutes before your baby needs cuddles after bumping her noggin for the 23rd time today. #MumLife).

In November 2019, 12 weeks after having our little boy Brodie, I decided I wanted to expand this blog into a Spell & The Gypsy Collective Dress Hire Service. The fashion industry has needed a healthier, more responsible system for a long time. In hiring out my wardrobe, I am able to contribute to ethical and sustainable fashion. My wardrobe was also becoming Spell-Dominant – it would have been rude not to share! And so began Love Want Need Hire. If you need that perfect outfit for your maternity shoot, baby shower, friend’s wedding, birthday, festival or perhaps a robe to get ready in on your special day (I’m looking at you, Brides!) check out all my apparel for hire here

You can get to know me better here, check out some FAQ’s here or, get back to reading my latest blog posts here. I hope you enjoy the read as much as I love sharing our journey.
